Whether we recognise it or not, gardeners are artists. Indeed, experimenting with the colours of plants is one of the most rewarding aspects of gardening. While the shapes and grouping of plants in the garden are as important as form and composition are to a painting, colour brings the scene to life, giving it personality and atmosphere.
