Steve and Megumi Biddle are a husband and wife team who have made origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, their career. Steve took up origami as a hobby. The hobby became a passion and he has been teaching it to children and adults alike since 1976. His work has taken him to Europe, New York, Israel, Australia and Japan. It was whilst studying in Japan under the top Japanese origami masters that he met and married Megumi. Megumi has a Bachelor of Arts degree and has worked variously as a fashion designer and commercial designer. She is one of the foremost Japanese paper artists and her work has received many top awards in Japan and abroad. Steve and Megumi have taken their craft all over the country to schools, festivals and arts centres, and have designed for television (including many appearances on The Generation Game) and feature films. They present Origami as entertainment, art and education to young and old alike.
