Lyle Brotherton is an active member of the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team and both lectures and instructs 'Advanced Navigation' to Mountain Rescue (MRT) and Search and Rescue teams throughout the world. He trains SAR teams from America to Southeast Asia in navigation and has developed a GPS training programme which is accredited by the Mountain Rescue Council of Scotland (MRCofS). He also works with military and national emergency services agencies.
