When she finally returned to New Zealand, Heather simplified her life, reduced her workload as an addictions therapist, consumer advisor, and bereavement counsellor, and reinvented herself as a writer, photographer, and fulltime passionate nomad. Her travel-writing workshops are always well received and she is a popular and motivating speaker. Heather has published travel articles in many parts of the world, is on the Christchurch Press Writers Festival Trust and she is continuing writing.
