"Earth Changes" expands on a theory vaunted by Albert Einstein whereby polar shifts in the ancient past were caused by ice build up at the poles; eventually causing the earth crust to slide until these heavier ice masses established a new equilibrium at the equator. Little known scientific facts, along with unproved hypothesis and popular psychic predictions, have been woven together to present a highly believable timetable concerning the next polar shift. By studying the earth's topography, geological facts, and future tide tables, the writer is able to construct a table of timing probabilities and effects for most parts of the world concerning the next pole shift. The writer identifies several ?most probable? dates leading up to 2012, the year the Mayan calendar ends. This theory remains perhaps even more relevant and "state of art" today than when it was first published. Recent global warming has accentuated the melt-down of the ice shelves; but more importantly, warmer polar temperatures have lead to even more frozen precipitation on the polar land masses.
