This book was written to record and acknowledge the history and the people around Watea Road which, since 1965, has been absorbed by Auckland International Airport. Many families formerly lived and holidayed there, on an isolated and peaceful part of the Manukau Harbour. Little did anyone realise then how much would be changed by events in the decades that followed the first subdivision of this district.
