Marist Brothers and Maori 1838-1988
Author(s): Clisby, Edward
The work of the Marist Brothers of the Schools in Catholic education is well-known. Their work for Maori is lesser known, though it was their reason for coming to New Zealand in the first place as part of the Marist mission in 1838. This history is an attempt to satisfy that deficiency.
