Kyra is so excited to be on her first visit to a marae with her Mum and Dad. They have come from Australia to be with KyraÂs aunty, who is getting married. KyraÂs excitement is huge, not only has she been chosen to be a flowergirl for her aunty, she has a beautiful new dress to wear. However, her excitement turns to tears when Kyra finds out her mum thought she had packed her dress, but Kyra has assumed Mum packed it for her.
KyraÂs aunty comes up with a perfect solution. She gives Kyra a very, very special costume to wear on the day  itÂs the same costume she wore when she performed for the QueenÂs visit many years previously. First published August 2006.
