Mrs McCool and the Giant Cuchulainn

Thanks to the strength of his magic little finger, the giant Cuchulainn has fought all other giants and squashed them flat - all but one: Finn McCool. But Finn McCool is a coward and asks his wife Oona to help him. In the end, Oona's brains conquer Cuchulainn's brute strength once and for all.

JESSICA SOUHAMI studied textile design at the Central School of Art and Design. In 1980 she formed Mme Souhami and Co, a travelling puppet company using colourful shadow puppets with a musical accompaniment and a storyteller. Her work has been featured on children's television, on programmes including Watch (BBC Schools), Seeing and Doing (Thames TV), Storytime (BBC), Playschool (BBC) Everybody Here (Channel 4) and Rat a Tat Tat (Channel 4) who devoted a whole programme to her book No Dinner!
