Bob Grahamm was highly commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal for "Queenie and the Bantam", won the Smarties Silver Award for "Buffy", won the 2000 Smarties Gold Medal and CBC Early Childhood Book of the Year Award for "Max" and was shortlisted for the 2002 Kate Greenaway Medal and won the Australian KIND Award and the US Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for "Let's Get a Pup". He has won the Australian Children's Book of the Year Award three times.

Bob Graham is Australia's leading picture-book maker. He has written and illustrated several children's picture books for Walker, including Brand New Baby; Rose Meets Mr Wintergarten; Queenie the Bantam (Highly Commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal), Buffy (Smarties Book Prize Silver Award Winner); Max (Winner of the 2000 Smarties Gold Medal and the CBC Early Childhood Book of the Year Award); and Let's Get a Pup, shortlisted for the 2002 Kate Greenaway Award and winner of the Australian KIND AWARD and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award in the US. He also illustrated This Is Our House, written by Michael Rosen.
