Activity Books

Get in gear and take a drive with "Cars", the latest pop-up book in Robert Crowther's celebrated transport series. This pop-up book of cars steers you through the smartest, fastest automobiles in history, from the very first carriages to the cars of tomorrow. Pull tabs and lift flaps inside to drive the first automobile and find out how engines work, and see your car slide off the production line. Then feel the thrill of the racetrack as you take pole position with the stockcar and Formula 1 stars. 2009 marks the 50th birthday of the BMC Mini, a car which features in a production-line pop in the section on Everyday Cars. Included in the section on future cars, the biodegradable Eco One car was created at the University of Warwick. The section on Record Breaking Cars features the current land speed record holding car, Thrust SSC, which is on display at the Coventry Transport Museum.
