The novel is based around two first cousins, Thor Jensen and Elise Marie Jensen. They are grandchildren of Knud Jensen, the mainstay character of the first book in the series, DANISH BLOOD. THE COUSINS is the sequel.  Thor and Elise Marie grow up together, until their teens, when they are split apart by their family, with Thor seeking life overseas. Elise Marie causes strife in her home town, in rural Denmark, before departing, hoping one day to meet up again with her cousin. The story starts in 1900 and goes through to 1944. It is a novel about, love, loss, uncertainty, and adventure from the Land of The Vikings to the Land of The Long White Cloud. The third book in the series is expected in 2023.
