Author description

Roddy Doyle won the Booker Prize in 1993 for Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha. He was a schoolteacher before becoming a bestselling writer. He has written five books for children. In 2009 he established the creative writing centre ‘Fighting Words’. Doyle lives with his family in Dublin. www.roddydoyle.ie
