Author description

PAUL DEMPSEY is the Senior Consultant for Engineering Management Consultants, a Houston-based consulting firm, and the author of more than 20 technical books. He is a member of Instrument Society of America, International Maintenance Institute, American Petroleum Institute, Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association, International Association of Drilling Contractors, and a standing committee member of the Off-shore Marine Services Association. Dempsey is the author of more than 20 TAB books, two of which sold more than 100,000 copies. Dempsey's broad familiarity with mechanical devices combined with his skill and knowledge of writing technical manuscripts, has prompted him to write more than 100 magazine and journal articles dealing with English literature, teaching techniques, petroleum-related subjects, and maintenance management.
