Author(s): Colin Thompson
Colin Thompson's stunning illustrations of 'home' have been linked to verse and comment which they have inspired from children who have seen them. The result of this meeting between the vision of an artist and the honesty of children is an unusually imaginative book, touching, funny, provocative - and always surprising. Home will never seem quite the same again!
Since he started writing and illustrating children's books in 1990, Colin Thompson has had more than 40 books published. He has received several awards, including an Aurealis Award for the novel How to Live Forever and the CBC Picture Book of the Year in 2006 for The Short and Incredibly Happy Life of Riley. His books include numerous picture books, The Floods series, and The Big Little Book of Happy Sadness picture book.
