When Charlie the monkey is forbidden to do what monkeys have always done best - play in trees - he looks for something else to do. Warthog tells him not to play in the mud, because playing in mud is what warthogs do. Then Honey Badger tells him not to bother the bees, and Lion tells him not to hunt gnu. What can Charlie do?

Great-grandson to Latvian immigrants, Ben Redlich was born in Brisbane, Australia, in 1977. Much of his childhood was spent doing things requiring subsequent tetanus shots. He spent the rest of his time watching cartoons, reading MAD, and doodling. Ben continues to doodle for a living. He’s doodled other humorous books like T-Rex’s Terrible Tooth, See You Later Alligator and Not This Little Black Duck. He lives in Brisbane with his wife, two chickens, and a dog named Foo.
