Description

Two little owls want to learn to fly--to fly high in the sky. But kind Daddy Owl says: "Not yet. You're far too small." This lyrical story about little ones impatient to become big will resonate with children everywhere. Stunning collage paintings perfectly capture the warmth and energy of the irresistible babies as they stretch and grow and prepare to test their wings.

Author description

When not writing stories for children, Giles Milton writes history books for adults. And when he's not writing history, he's probably working on a novel. He is the author of "Nathaniel's Nutmeg," which was serialized by BBC Radio. Alexandra Milton was born in Paris, where she studied art and English. She draws inspiration from her father and grandfather, both distinguished artists from Germany. Alexandra worked as an elementary school teacher before becoming a full-time illustrator. Both authors live in London.
