Rachel Francis was once described as 'New Zealand's most famous hooker' and is the author of two books on the local sex industry. Her autobiography Laid Bare was published in 2008, detailing her career as a street worker and dominatrix through to her time at the helm of the notorious Zodiac Club in Rotorua. As well as two decades in the sex industry, Rachel has held a wide variety of 'normal world' jobs including office PA, volunteer ambulance officer, carer for the terminally ill, long haul truck owner/operator, pig farmer and newspaper columnist. Now retired from the sex industry, Rachel is focused on what she is most passionate about empowering women from all walks of life.
