Description

Soft cover. From hand-knitted socks to army uniforms, from lingerie to rugby jerseys to corporate uniforms, Lane Walker Rudkin has been clothing New Zealanders for over 100 years. Be it Jockey underwear or Canterbury outerwear, the LWR brands are familiar to all of us. Lane Walker Rudkin : 100 Years In The Making not only commemorates 100 years of the Lane Walker Rudkin enterprise but reflects the chequered history of New Zealand's business climate as well as changes in technology and fashion. It is the story of the Lanes, the Walkers and the Rudkins, the machinists on the factory floor, the famous sporting stars - such as Colin Meads, Don Clark, Chris Cairns and Jonah Lomu - who have worn the Canterbury brand jersey with pride, and the sporting models - like Zinzan Brook, Paul McDonald and Rachel Hunter - who have stripped down to their underwear to flaunt the latest Jockey or Liberty style.
