Author description

H.P. Willmott is a widely published military historian and former Senior Lecturer in the Department of War Studies at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. He has authored many books including DK's The First World War. He lives in Surrey. Robin Cross has written on many aspects of the war, in particular the war in the air, the home front and the role of women. Robin lives in Bath. Charles Messenger served as an officer in the Royal Tank Regiment before becoming a full-time military historian and defence analyst. Charles lives in London.
