Leland Ness is a consultant on the technology of armored vehicles and ordnance and is the editor of Military Vehicles and Ordnance Report, the industry-standard newsletter.He served 28 years in the US Army reserve in tank and intelligence units, being called to active duty with Headquarters, US Army Intelligence Agency for Operation Desert Storm and its aftermath.He created and authored the DMS/Jane's World Armored Vehicle Forecast and World Ordnance Forecast while serving as manager of their of Ground and Naval Systems Group, and is co-author of the highly-acclaimed Red Army Handbook.
