A Family Of Hunters

Author(s): Phil Tucker & Barbara Jamieson-Tucker

Hunting

This is a story about several generations of the Tucker family with the common bond of hunting and the outdoors.

The Tuckers and the Jamiesons were hunting families, both had been used to living off the land.

Phil Tucker had a passion for hunting, his work as a woodsman and later deer culler took him to different parts of the country. One location was Galatea where he made the acquaintance of the Jamieson family. Mick Jamieson, was not only a keen hunter but had a rather attractive daughter who was also interested in hunting.

Mick became a hunting partner and Barbara eventually became Phil’s wife. Phil and  Barbara, not only hunted together they also introduced their children to outdoor sports, with son Aaron continuing the family tradition becoming a very successful hunter himself. Now his  daughter Mikayla is following in his footsteps to become a hunter.

This is an engaging book with hunting trips throughout New Zealand and even an excursion to Australia; as the Tucker family enjoy New Zealand’s outdoors.
