Description

This inspirational book is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in art and the process of discovery and creation.

No. 1: First Works of 362 Artists showcases âÂÂfirstâ works by a raft of the worldâÂÂs greatest contemporary artists and art photographers.
The artists were asked to submit what they considered their âÂÂfirstâ work of art â not the first piece they ever created, but their first âÂÂdefiningâ one, the one that set their style and clearly signposted their artistic direction. Their submissions, along with artistsâ statements, make up this fascinating look at the process of
art-making.
