Damian Skinner is an up-and-coming art historian who is highly regarded. He has a Bright Futures Forst scholarship and is doing a PhD on Maori art of the 1950s and 1960s. He has curated many exhibitions at leading New Zealand museums and galleries, including a recent retrospective of Michael Illingworth. He has published in Art New Zealand and other journals.
