One of Glamour Magazine's "Most Anticipated Books of 2017"

"An extraordinary literary treat that reminds readers the best things in life have nothing to do with plans." --20 Must-Read Books for Spring 2017, Redbook.com

Two decades ago, Adam Sharp's piano playing led him into a passionate relationship with Angelina Brown, an intelligent and strong-willed actress. They had a chance at something more--but Adam didn't take it.

Now, on the cusp of turning fifty, Adam likes his life. He's happy with his partner Claire, he excels in music trivia at quiz night at the local pub, he looks after his mother, and he does the occasional consulting job in IT. But he can never quite shake off his nostalgia for what might have been.

And then, out of nowhere, from the other side of the world, Angelina gets in touch. What does she want? Does Adam dare to live dangerously?

Set to the soundtrack of our lives, The Best of Adam Sharp follows along with emotion and humor as one man looks back on his past and decides if having a second chance is worth the risk.

'How does Graeme Simsion follow-up his dual smash hits of The Rosie Project and The Rosie Effect? By penning a novel that is just as funny and poignant, but with a tumultuous moral core...it will resonate long after you've closed the book.' Pages & Pages Booksellers 'While Simsion's touch is delicate, this is a dark comedy of manners, an adult entertainment that extends the range of his first, more light-hearted book.' Age 'A smart, touching and warm-hearted tale of the power of love, and how far we can go to find it.' Mindfood 'A great read-romantic, wry and well-written in that blokish David Nicholls-ish way. And totally rock'n'roll: Bob Dylan and Patti Smith fans will love all the references.' Daily Review 'With very real characters, an engaging plot and plenty of wit, this is a joy.' Heat '[A] poignant glimpse into human relationships-what it is to love and to be loved...The Best of Adam Sharp hits you right in the morals and leaves you thinking-how far would you go for a second chance?' Books & Publishing 'That these books are as funny and charming and often touching as they are is a tribute to the skill with which they're written.' NPR on The Rosie Project 'An extraordinarily clever, funny, and moving book about being comfortable with who you are and what you're good at.' Bill Gates on The Rosie novels
