Description

Rubber band jewellery is a relative newcomer to the crafts world, and is about to make a big splash in the UK market, although it has been massive in the US for some time. Many items can be made just using a crochet hook; other more complex items are made using a special loom, which is very widely available from outlets such as Amazon, Argos and Toys R Us, for about 15. The most popular loom is the Rainbow Loom, but other makes, such as Cra-Z-Loom and Fun Loom are also available. Bags of very brightly coloured rubber bands are also easily available, together with plastic connecting clips, charms and other embellishments.

In the book, there will be 20 pieces of rubber band jewellery -- 10 made using just a crochet hook-like tool, and 20 using the loom -- including bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, bag charms and hand/foot accessories. Each project is accompanied by a beautiful full-colour photograph of the finished piece, clear step-by-step instructions, a list of the materials and tools needed. Two versions of each project are included, each made by following the same step-by-step instructions but by varying the colours of the rubber bands.
