Amigurumi is a Japanese technique of knitting or crocheting small creatures, personalizing them with human features and stuffing them to give a three-dimensional shape. Author Cilla Webb has made ten cute and cuddly knitted toys that are sure to be adored by any age. Choose from Miss Sheep, Miss Fox, Miss Puss, Master Monkey, Master Woof, Master Teddy, Master Wabbit, Miss Squirrel, Master Giraffe and Miss Mouse. Each of these personalities comes complete with a ready-to-wear wardrobe that defines his or her character, including a superhero cape, mask and boots; swimsuit, flip flops and summer skirt; karate trousers, sports bag and towel; pyjamas, slippers and blanket; or santa hat, vest and boots, among others. Each project requires intermediate-level knitting skills and uses knit, purl and basic sewing skills.

Product Information

Cilla Webb was born and raised in Belgium, where she was taught to knit at a young age by her mum. She soon became hooked on the craft. While expecting her first baby, Cilla designed and made a pattern for a toy and posted it on the website Ravelry. The feedback was positive and encouraged her further. She now designs for Knit Now magazine, fitting the work alongside her regular teaching career.
