Nadia Lim trained as a diteitian and nutritionist at Otago University. She was the winner of Masterchef NZ in 2011. Born in Auckland, she lived in Malaysia for seven years with her family. Her mother is a Kiwi and her father is Malaysian Chinese. Growing up in two different cultures helped broaden her food knowledge and palate greatly. As a teenager she discovered her natural flair for cooking and knew she wanted a career in food. She worked for Auckland District Health Board in diabetes for a few years, before MasterChef and a new career in food began. Nadia is a partner in the highly successful new business My Food Bag.
