Description

Morris Fox lives in London under a house with his family. He tries his best to get food, but he has to be very careful in a place like London. Not everyone enjoys having foxes about - especially when they are cooking bacon and eggs!

With it’s simple storyline The Sorry Tale of Morris Fox will capture children’s imagination as Morris Fox goes out into the city looking for food. Kids laugh along at Morris Fox’s misfortunes and the story keeps them guessing as to what will happen next. The moral of the tale comes through as the story progesses, ‘if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.’

The book has 16 pages of text and illustrations so it's not too long for a bedtime story. The simple text and a certain amount of repetition mean it's also a good book for older children to learn to read independently.

Author description

Adam Pryor is a graphic designer who lived in London from 2003-2010 in a typical terraced building. He often looked out his second floor window to see foxes wandering around the yards or even relaxing on ground floor flat roofs. He never saw them get up higher than that although one fox is said to have climbed to the top of the Shard, London's tallest building, while under construction in 2011!
