Judy Sierra was born in Washington DC and grew up in Falls Church, Virginia. She now lives in northern California with her husband. They have one adult son and two granddaughters. Henrik Drescher was born in Copenhagen, but emigrated to the United States in 1967. After briefly studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, he began a career in illustration. His editorial illustrations appear regularly in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time and Rolling Stone.
