Faery's Gift

Description

If you could make a single wish, what would you wish for? With so many possibilities and choices open to him, a humble woodcutter faces a tricky dilemma when he rescues a faery one day in the woods. After much conflicting advice from his family, the woodcutter is torn between three difficult choices and must make a decision that will change their lives forever.

Author description

Tanya Robyn Batt, currently living in New Zealand, is one of the world's few professional faeries. Using her vast costume wardrobe, Faery Tanya travels all over the world performing at festivals, schools, and libraries. Tanya has also written and compiled the recently released A Child's Book of Faeries (2002) selected as The Sunday Times Book of the Month in September 2002, The Fabrics of Fairytale (2000) and The Princess and the White Bear King (2004). Nicoletta Ceccoli was born and still lives in The Republic of San Marino with her two pet turtle doves. Featured several times at the Bologna Children's Book Festival, she won the prestigious Andersen prize for the best Italian children's book illustrator in 2000. She has also illustrated the popular Barefoot titles An Island in the Sun (2002), Little Red Riding Hood (2004) and The Princess and the White Bear King (2004).
