Author description

Lee Langley was born in India of Scottish parents and is married to Theo Richmond, the author of Konin. He is Jewish and she is not, and she draws on her own experience for the understanding and empathy which makes Hearing Distant Music such a fine and interesting novel. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
