Author(s): Pamela Duncan Edwards
The complete story and original illustrations of Pamela Duncan Edwards and Deborah Allwright's picture book, DINOSAUR SLEEPOVER, have been specially re-designed into a smaller early reader format. Created with expert advice from a literacy consultant, this new version offers children a natural next step on from picture books to support them as they grow in reading confidence. What would you do if you and Dinosaur had been invited to a sleepover party and Dinosaur looked worried? He's never slept away from home before. You'd say, "Don't worry, Dinosaur. Sleepovers are fun." 'This is a great series which, by using well-loved stories, will encourage children to become enthusiastic, independent readers.' -- Dr Fiona Maine, Lecturer in Literacy Education, University of Cambridge
Pamela Duncan Edwards grew up in the UK but has spent most of her adult life in the USA. She worked as a librarian before becoming a writer and is now the bestselling author of over thirty children's books. Deborah Allwright used an ironing board as a drawing table when she was a child, which meant that she was limited to drawing snakes and other long thin animals. Now Deborah is grown up and works as a successful children's book illustrator in London, so she can draw whatever she wants -- including big dinosaurs!
