Author description

Nicola Killen completed a degree in Graphic Design specialising in illustration but very nearly became an accountant after university. Thankfully a holiday to Cornwall convinced her to go back to illustration so she started creating handmade cards which proved very successful and later worked as an illustrator for magazines and newspapers. After working in design studios for seven years Nicola started the MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Her final artwork won Egmont's Best New Talent Award.
